Prisoner Escapes Maryland

According to authorities, Garcia-Ramos escaped from the Maryland Correctional Institution - Hagerstown early Saturday morning, Jan. 17, 2009. Court records show that in June Garcia-Ramos entered an Alford plea to first-degree murder in Prince George's County Circuit Court in a December 2007 killing.
