Sam & Dave were an effusive soul duo with two gold singles: After they split in 1981 , Moore continued to tour as "Sam and Dave," with a different Sam, Sam Daniels—leading Prater to attempt legal action. The song also earned Sam and Dave an induction into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1999.
